Behind the Scenes
The idea for this project came from my deep appreciation for detective stories. Growing up, I was fascinated by the likes of Batman and Sherlock Holmes, and that love for mystery and intrigue stayed with me. I wanted to create a story that captures that same sense of suspense while integrating technology to make it more immersive. Unlike traditional structured approaches, my creative process has been more experimental—driven by trial and error. I initially set out to write a simple ebook, but along the way, I discovered AI-powered comic book creation. This opened up new possibilities, and I decided to transform my short story into a visual, interactive experience. Adapting the narrative to fit the new format was challenging, but the overall result was a net positive.
The story follows our main character, a highly strategic yet somewhat aloof detective who is often misunderstood. Together with his partner, he is motivated to solve crimes in a world filled with intrigue and deception. The first issue introduces him and the world he inhabits, setting the foundation for the larger narrative that will unfold over three or more volumes.
Final Thoughts
This entire project has been a learning experience, combining storytelling, design, and technology in ways I never imagined. I know there is always room for improvement, but one quote has guided me through the process: “Perfectionism can be the roadblock to completion.” Stay tuned for updates on issue #2 and mobile app game in the future.
